Tell Me What Is Real (through Seeing, through You), 2019, video installation, HD video, steel furniture, bottles, drypoint prints, dimensions variable
The main element of my work is telling stories of one’s subjective reality. I have collected stories through interviews with different individuals who have had visionary, paranormal or spiritual experiences. The stories are told in a video which serves as a metaphor and fictional replication of interview videos. The voices and faces of the interviewed persons are replaced: the faces with bottled drinks, the voices with ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) sounds of one’s choice. The video is shown as a part of an installation which addresses the invisible / intangible / immaterial through its materiality.
